8/10 Micro Castle Building Challenge
This is Bricksben's Mini Castle and it's inspired a bunch of us to build our own micro castles. Even better, we've decided that everyone should be able to build their own castle! Are you up for a challenge?
The Micro Castle Challenge
- Build a castle on a 4x6 plate, the base of the build cannot exceed this size.
- There are no height restrictions, the sky is the limit.
- Physical builds or LDDs accepted.
- No limit to the number of submissions per member
- Anyone can join, you just have to be a member of PassionLUG aka have an account here
- Remember to have fun!
Upon completion, post pictures or screenshots of your build in this thread. All entries to be submitted by midnight of 13th October (Sunday) aka 23:59pm.
The Prize
Prize kindly sponsored by My Little Brick Shop.
A panel of 3 judges will rank their top 5 entries (score of 5 to 1). The castle with the highest point score wins!
Go forth and build!

Hahahaha. Sourcing myself is somewhat hilarious, but something I hope I will be able to do more often.
Looking forward to more micro castles!

This is not an entry. Cos I'm obviously not eligible to win the prize since I'm sponsoring it.
But oh well, here's me just sharing my Disney Cinderella Castle

OK so here's mine, made utilising jumpers and offsets as the main concept. Centering a 3-stud arch on a 8-stud base was .... interesting!

My attempt. Have a staircase going up to a small tower but didn't come out too clear.

Here's my entry!
Something evil is brewing...
- Imposing statues greet you at the gates.
- Some evil magic is brewing and pumping at the lower parts of the castle. Powered by a mysterious green energy.
- The evil master resides at the top of the castle, with his powerful aura glowing as he oversees the land below him.

Re: 8/10 Micro Castle Building Challenge
Thank you for all submissions! The judges will be scoring their top picks and we'll be posting results here once they're all in! Good luck to all who participated and may the best castle win!
Re: 8/10 Micro Castle Building Challenge
The results are out! Our panel of 3 judges, comprising of Eugene (Master Shifu), Jeffrey (BricksBen) & Alvin (Chongcheng) have made their decisions & here are are your top 5 scores!
#1 Crayonboi's Floating Castle
Score: 8 points
"Effective use of repetition using simple elements to create a vertical tower. Love the arch opening – and that waterfall!" - Jeffrey
"Good idea to break the norm & elevate the castle with landscape on a relatively small area" - Eugene
#2 Playtime's Jumper Castle
Score: 3 points
"Nice use of levers and tile with clips for the drawbridge. The offsetting with jumper plates works well to pack detail in a small scale" - Jeffrey
"Interesting effort to break the normal castle topology with (a) traditional bottom-up build" - Eugene
#3 ZeroZeroZero's entry #2
Score: 3 points
#4 Evo's Castle with Stair
Score: 2 points
"Good effort in packing details and maintaining visual balance in an asymmetric form. Also refreshing to see a blue and white castle." - Jeffrey
#5 Nukescientist's Evil Castle
Score: 2 points
"Good use of various parts at different directions to create a cutout of the normal castle topology" - Eugene
